Every copy is unique

Each "Wattudragaren" album features a hand-made ink drawing on the front cover, creating a visual bridge to the world portrayed in the music and accentuating the tactile connections to the work.

Wattudragare means pelican

For this calm and meditative album, the title was taken from an archaic Swedish word for this feathered friend - accentuating the nature element of the music and the ambition to convey a sense of nostalgia and wonder.

Niklas Sundin

After nearly three decades in the Grammy winning Swedish metal band Dark Tranquillity (with a total of almost 180 million plays on Spotify) and two experimental albums under the Mitochondrial Sun monicker, "Wattudragaren" is his first solo album. He's also a prolific illustrator and graphic designer, hence the idea of personalizing every copy of the album with a custom drawing.
